HTML to PDF, explained
Paste HTML or open an .html file and get a print-ready A4 PDF. The HTML is read for its content and structure, then laid out with clean typography: handy for saved web pages, exported notes or generated reports.
What is converted, and how
- Structure
- Headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, block quotes and code blocks.
- Emphasis and links
- Bold, italic, inline code and clickable links.
- Code
- Syntax highlighting when a block is marked with a language class.
- Images
- Kept when they are embedded as
data:URIs. - Title
- The page
<title>becomes the document title.
Limitations
- The page's own CSS is ignored and scripts never run, so this is not a screenshot of the page as a browser shows it.
- Images, stylesheets and fonts that the HTML loads from a web address or a file path are not fetched.
- Forms, iframes, video and navigation menus are left out or reduced to their text. Up to 512 KB of HTML.
Tips
- Want the page exactly as your browser shows it? Use the browser's Print → Save as PDF.
- Paste only the part of the page you need; menus and footers are text too.
- The file is converted in an isolated, temporary workspace on our server and deleted as soon as the result has been sent back. It is never stored or logged.
